Its a spiritual mind fuck. That's about it - its meant to fuck with your mind and your soul, and then end, and then when its over, you're supposed to be like "well damn. I feel clean I guess. Time to go live the rest of my life a better person". That's what I gather, anyway.

I dunno if it works but its a hell of a thing. El Topo is the same way. I don't think Fando y Lis, also from the director, has quite the same quasi-theraputic goal, and it follows a more traditional narrative, so I like it the most, because its really just a feel bad trip.

I still need to watch El Topo from the Jodorowsky set I bought a while back. So far Ive only gotten to Fando y Lis. Ill have to add Himiko to my watchlist too.

It's not in the box set if it's the one I'm thinking of but Santa Sangre is a must watch. Pretty much a horror

I've seen Endless Poetry and liked it a lot. It's more straightforward than a lot of his other stuff, but it's still one of the most wildly absurd "biopics" out there.
