The vocal performance in Climax might be his most soulful of all though, definitely less poppy than at least several songs listed here I think youre overlooking his versatility as an artist by completely skipping over some of those late career highlights though, hes a talent. Bruh, it even had Jay Z on it lol Contrary to popular belief, Here I Stand's biggest downfall wasn't the lack of sexual content, but the lack of input from Usher's longtime collaborators like Dupri, Bryan Michael-Cox, Dre & Vidal and Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. Usher instead chose to experiment with newer pop producers, which pretty much ruined the album. Aside from Something Special (Dupri), Best Thing (Dupri), Love You Gently (Dre & Vidal), the title track (Dre & Vidal), Before I Met You (Cox) and I'll be generous when I say Appetite (Danja), the album is just mediocre. jon1012 posted...
