Lennus II is apparently a pretty good game, but I've never played it. I almost beat the original Paladin's Quest.

It had such a strange aesthetic. From its US title, I was expecting a generic medieval theme, but it wasn't anything relatable at all.

The original game's visual imagination vastly exceeded the technical limitations. If I'm not mistaken, the game's color palette was only 8 by 8, am I right? I remember it being really simple in color scheme.

I remember it being really simple in color scheme. For some reason, I remember reading that it was developed as a Genesis or SMS title, but then got moved to the SNES. Would explain the muted colour palette.
