Shadow pokemon also had a variety of shadow moves instead of just the one, which made the gameplay much more fun. And purified pokemon had egg moves, and in some cases exclusive moves, which made them all the more appealing. Then there are a shit ton of QoL improvements. Movement speed and game speed in general, being able to save anywhere like other pokemon games, ect. And then there's Mirror B.
