Comes out in May and it's already climbing Steam's top-sellers list. This bodes well for a Dead Space trilogy remaster, right?

Are they actually changing anything aside from a graphics update? If it's the same gameplay this is a hard pass for me. I already beat the game 7 times on 360, ain't no way i'm giving bioware any more of my money, especially on a lazy remaster

I can only speak for myself, but i loved Mass Effect and had no interest in playing Dead Space.

Isn't Dead Space a horror game set in space? More associated with Alien or something?

I loved all three mass effect games and replayed them recently, will also be getting the legendary edition, but you're crazy if you think ME1 has the best, or even good gameplay.

ME1 is good in spite of the gameplay, not because of it lol

The only problem with Mass Effect 1 was the tons of useless fucking loot and tank missions.

Mass Effect 2 was so unbalanced and somehow they had a dark ages or something because the guns has limited ammo

"NUH UH THEY WERE EJECTING HEAT SINKS"

So they somehow added thermodynamics-violating technology into guns for the express purpose of making them more shitty.

It's said that you'll be able to achieve necessary war readiness through the single player content, but have given no further details afaik. They really should have just scrapped war readiness altogether going this route imo.

The war asset concept pretty much existed to funnel people into the microtransaction lootbox economy-driven multiplayer, so without said multiplayer there's really no reason to have it.

They already rebalanced it when they released the extended cut, which reduced the required number of assets to get the 'perfect' ending so that multiplayer isn't necessary

The DLC does give more as well IIRC (been a few years since i last played), and is included with the package to my knowledge.

Bit odd they arent... Coop MP is the only kind of MP i enjoy, but its not the worst thing in the world.

Also, i distinctly remember some people being pissed ME3 even HAD Multiplayer in the first place.

I think people are forgetting that the Multiplayer effected what ending you got.

The endings sucked so much that no one really remembers that, but on release it was impossible to get the synthesiss ending without doing multiplayer

They patched it so the war assests needed to get that ending were lowered.

But it wasn't just "hating mulitplayer for the sake of it" it objectively made the singleplayer worse

No Pinnacle station makes me sad, but given the source code was utterly lost/corrupt really nothing they can do about it. ME1 sounds like its had more than touch ups as well, but guess we'll see when it actually releases.

It was actually very good and I thought pretty popular. Was definitely dumb to need it though but pretty sure they got rid of that eventually. I was able to get enough readiness without it when went through again on PC, rather than console as had originally.

Honestly it's turning out how I expected it would, a 4k 60fps version with not many changes which already exists on PC with mods. I mean they are still running it on UE3 because it would have been a multi year project if they did it on UE4.

I got the synthesis ending first playthrough, without any multiplayer action at all. I was a huuuuuuuge ME fan back in the day, and had all of the DLC. I did every single possible mission in ME 1 and 2, and got the war assets needed in ME3 to get that ending. This was before the patch came out. You had to make the "correct" big choices in the triliogy in order to maximize the war assets without multiplayer.

I dont remember specifics, but there where indeed stuff you could only get by using the Save Import feature.

Pretty sure you couldnt broker peace between Quarians and Geth without, and explicit decisions in 2 (i remember a point system for that)

I kind of remember that! Yes, in ME2 I could choose the best paragon dialogue options during Tali's mission, and had a great ending between the Geth and Quarians in 3.

I don't see how folks could be angry or disappointed about this.

Short of remaking the games I'm not sure how much more work they could've put into this
