Dodgers were a nickname to people who had to dodge all the trolleys in Brooklyn, not so much in LA. Lakers originally were based in Minneapolis, a city and state known for lakes. Along with the Utah Jazz, a team originally from New Orleans and the Arizona Cardinals, originally from Chicago and you have 4 wtf were they thinking moments.
