Summary:
A 15 year old boy was ill with terminal cancer, been in the hospital since he was 12. Had no friends or female contact his whole life. With only weeks to live, he makes a dying wish to the hospital staff that he wanted to experience having sex with a woman before he died. So the boy's psychologist and several friends got together and took him to the red light district of his city, and arranged for him to have sex with a beautiful prostitute they found. Being a virgin, the boy didn't last very long. Like what's the fucking difference between this kid, and some other random 15 year old horn ball who wants some and decides to fuck their teacher or something. Because one of the kids was dying? What difference does it make that this kid was dying? Either make it illegal for every 15 year old to fuck (the right option) or make it legal for them to fuck. I'm not even saying Im on the right side of the argument and you're on the wrong side. I just think it's worth the discussion. I'm actually kind of torn. There is definitely a lot of suspect factors at play. But then you have the side of not rejecting a dying wish just because it's against the law. I don't see this as a slippery slope since it's a very contained thing. It's not like the average person can use this moving forward as a defense for their own behavior. I want to point out that if the roles were reversed I can point to an oddity from the old testament from Judges 11. Jephthah had to sacrifice his daughter due to a vow to God and she was allowed to mourn her virginity for two months in the wild before her execution (by the way, she encouraged her death, she was like weirdly sad and cool about it). And then after that, the women of the tribe mourned her death yearly for the fact she died a young virgin.
So, I say with that in mind, I gotta say...still cool with either gender dying young losing their virginity before they're guaranteed to kick it.
