I had a mild case of it, started a little over 2 weeks ago with chills/fever and fatigue. The chills and fever lasted 4 days and were mild. The fatigue lasted for a little over a week. Those were the only symptoms I had and I thought that I was in the clear. Two days ago I got a call from the health department/contact tracers, they just basically asked who were you in contact with prior to the first symptoms and my living situation. I answered them to the best of my abilities and they told me that based on my lack of symptoms after 2 weeks that I'm free to get out of quarantine.

Today I decided to get a little midnight snack, it was the first time I was outside since my symptoms started and damn this shit hit my lungs harder than I thought. I walked probably like a little under a mile (like about 15 minutes) to go back and forth to a rite aid near me and as I'm walking it felt like my lungs were... smaller? It was a weird feeling, like I wouldn't say that I was tired but I definitely felt like my lungs couldn't hold as much air as it could in the past and now my anxiety is through the roof lol. I don't want my lungs to be fucked up. >_>

What can I do to better my lungs? Light exercise or something? Lots of fluids? Just wait it out...?

Yeah, apparently you more or less just have to wait that shit out.

Maybe a rescue inhaler? I don't know if you can get them over the counter anymore or not. There used to be at least one brand you could just buy from CVS without a prescription.

That's scary. My symptoms are mostly gone but I still have a couple days left to quarantine. I guess I should take it easy after that too

Primatine Mist was what I was thinking about.. again not sure if it's still over the counter and available. It will help open your lungs and your breathing though.

What do you expect anyone here to do with that information? We're not your fucking doctor, go bother them instead.

I had asthma as a kid. I know what you are experiencing is different...and I am NOT a Doctor.

But yes, I have felt that breathing through a staw feeling.

I don't know how covid plays out, none of us do really.

I would go easy right now, but as Spring comes maybe start paying attention to your breath.
You're diaphragm muscles may have atrophied a bit in the fight.

I would do light exercise outdoors (like walking or biking) and then increase the time I do that by 10 min per day.

After 10 days I would do increasingly difficult activities like climbing hills or jogging every day.

Throughout this process keep a journal and measure what you do and also try holding your breath -- see how long you can hold it at the same time each day.

Giving your body stuff to repair is important too. Things with antioxidants and vitamin C like fresh fruit and drink tea.

The neurological shit associated with COVID is deeply concerning. I have read of people with serious depth perception issues.

It's almost as if COVID is the serious threat it was advertised as.
