They said they were going to ease the restrictions a little bit and keep monitoring the situation, and it sounds like they are going to ease it for some people and honestly I wouldn't trust a single thing they say.

Not familiar with robinhood but see if you can check your open orders. Very likely only part of your order went through and the rest is pending. Most places you'd be able to cancel the pending orders, but again I'm not familiar with RH

Robinhood fucked my sell order today. I sold some penny stocks, but while it was pending, I cancelled it and decided to sell a different amount.

Well it sold both amounts combined >_> Luckily I was cool with it but it better not fuck up when I'm selling Doge or GME

Transactions on the market go through clearing houses where the actual exchange of money occurs. They are like the middle men. It takes a few days for each trade's funds to settle. The clearing houses cannot by law use the traders' funds to cover the cost of this transaction during that settling period, they must use their own credit. Today on GME there was such an extreme number of transactions occurring simultaneously (aka the volatility) that the clearing house had to increase the cost of covering the transaction to a point that was beyond their ability to fund. So they had to stop new positions from opening.

It says it completed. But it said it was only partially sold and that I sold about 11,470 of the 29,177. And that I only got $400 of the $1000. But two things.

I didn't receive the $400

And I'm missing the other 17,000 coins.

Any help would be appreciated. Also, why couldn't it sell completely?

It may be lagging? I know my orders/transactions have been infuriatingly delayed lately on RH. I would wait maybe 5-10 min. Then maybe try contacting them after.

Even then, this stuff is so concerning. It's been such a ****show lately. Sorry you have to deal with this.

A broker service like RH simply arranges the sales and buys for you; someone still has to buy your doge. It may take time for that to occur since you sold such a large chunk

Crypto is a 24/7 thing, but I've gotta sleep. Got some sell limit orders up incase it hits a buck, and some buy limit orders up incase it dips back down to certain points. Hopefully when I wake up I'll be sitting pretty on a lot of cash.
