AAL is. Since there is a vaccine, more people will travel. It might take 5-7 months to see results though depending on how fast people get vaccinated.

As a brokerage firm, we have many financial requirements, including SEC net capital obligations and clearinghouse deposits. Some of these requirements fluctuate based on volatility in the markets and can be substantial in the current environment. These requirements exist to protect investors and the markets and we take our responsibilities to comply with them seriously, including through the measures we have taken today.
To be clear, this decision was not made on the direction of any market maker we route to or other market participants.
The past year in particular has shown us that the financial markets are for everyonenot just institutional investors and hedge funds. Im liquidating my RH account tomorrow aside from DOGE (and NOK if I cant buy still) I am not giving them the 75 buck transfer fee. Taking my stocks elsewhere

It's either regular income or capital gains if you've held it for a year. So whichever tax brackets you'd fall into based on income.

Any gains realized from the sale of a stock will be a taxable event, if you held under a year... it is your income tax rate, if you help over a year, it is capital gains

Probably nothing. Capital gains on very large amounts short term is 34% Max so 34% of that 50 profit.

But I hear the taxes are even less in small amounts of profit

Gains from the sale of securities are treated as income when realized and are taxed accordingly (rate varies depending upon the characterization of the security).

It depends on your income level + either of these (short term means higher rate btw)

Long term capital gains tax = stock owned for 1 year and a day or longer <-----0% tax penalty if you make less than 40k/year
Short term capital gains tax = stock owned for < 1 year

Short Term is 34% and Long Term is 20%

These are far very large amounts of income though. I think the percentages are less on lower amounts of income and profit
