$0 because I don't see the appeal for a watch. I might pay a couple hundred dollars for a fitbit, or other related health device that can do more than just tell me the time.

If I had the money for a rolex, I'd probably buy one. In the business world, rolex's can be very important for impressing people you need to impress. Same with Italian shoes, tailored suits, $350 haircuts ($1500 haircuts for women), etc.

also, rolex's seldom depreciate in value and in some cases even appreciate.

If I were in a position to have developed enough of a sense of care, I'd lose nary a mid slumber snort to the notion of 7 figure commission.

A truly bespoke timepiece SHOULD cost as much as a very large house

That watch costs 1.2 million dollars

About $250 is my limit. I like the watches by Talley and Twine, more for suits and business casual.

I only have a MK watch - which I bought for the look (typically I associate MK with girls apparel). But I would spend 10k on a 18k Gold Rolex Day-Date, 18k Gold Skydweller, or a Hulk Submariner. Only one of those 3 watches could ever be bought for 10k tho.

there are two types of watches I would purchase.

one for telling time, and one that will appreciate in value.

Maybe like $3k or so. Beyond that I would be nervous about someone mugging me for it or losing it or something. It would have to be as a result of a windfall or some other unexpected income as right now I definitely wouldn't. The most I've spent is $500.

$5,000 for my Speedmaster Pro Moonphase is my record so far.

I collect watches as a hobby, though, so I'm open to spending quite a bit on one I really love sometime when I have more money to spare.

For a while, I thought I'd never buy a watch since I always have my phone. Then I randomly decided to buy a smart watch (Galaxy Watch) 2 years ago. And now I feel naked without it. What's funny is even though it's a watch, telling time is actually not the main reason I bought it haha.
