The thing is women shouldn't have to put up with that crap in the first place. Most of the women I know have to put up with guys sending weird messages and guys trying it on all the time, including the occasional dick pick. It should come as no surprise that many women get completely fed up and pissed off with it.

Also, the unseen element of this.

Her argument was solid and had several good points. Other women and girls could see this and walk away with the knowledge and empowerment to stand up for themselves when this happens to them.

All those "she should've ignored it" responses need to understand this is what she does most of the time. I believe we can all understand that those kind of comments are very common. The vast majority of times, she ignores them but this time, for whatever reason, she felt like responding and it was a good response.

Whether the person was "dismantled" depends on the type of troll. There are the types who get off on outbursts like that and the types who have actual negative emotional reactions to being called out. It was definitely a pretty solid takedown on trolls in general though.
