It's just so fantastically bad, all the performances so camp and phoned in. The entire premise awful, the acting terrible, the women are all just sex objects.

I remember hating it back in the 2000s but I had it on in the background just now as I cleaned the house and if you don't squint too hard it's pretty good

Same with Nick Cage and Aragon. Can you imagine a world where the Matrix and LotR didn't have their iconic stars played by who they were. Likely would have severely impacted their popularity.

I think he probably would have done a good job honestly but he's pretty fucking successful anyway and Keanu's career was dead in the water at the time and it brought him back and he's been in great shit as well so I think it it as we got two great actors instead of just one.

But that still doesn't mean Will Smith didn't make a dumb ass decision.

They had a burger at Burger King during that movie being out as part of a promotional.

The "Western Burger" or something, and it had BBQ sauce and Onion Rings on it. It was good!

Makes me want to stand in the shower for 45 minutes thinking about all the movies that sucked that might been generational classics if only another actor had the part

What breaks my heart about that one is that it was nearly a terrific movie (and still very fun), but didn't they have the entire set get destroyed in a flood or something? Like, the franchise died that day because it cost too much

I don't know what it is about it that I like so much. It's bad in every way, but somehow it's weirdly stylish and fantastic. I almost think if it was even a little bit camper it would have been a hit.

I've always loved Wild Wild West. It's a great bad movie for precisely why you mentioned, it's fun. If you don't approach it expecting cinematic brilliance and just as something to chill out and watch it's a nice way to kill a few hours.

They both completely bombed critically and commercially, with Wild Wild West getting a nearly full sweep at the raspberries, but League of Extraordinary Gentleman has a kind of cult following now.
