That trailer was quite misleading. I'm also a fan of 8-16 bits when done well.

It's a shame most devs that go for a pixelated graphic style use that same shitty minimalist style. It's really not that hard to copy a good style like Castlevania or other good looking actual 8 bit and 16 bit games.
