the other night, my old coffee maker was set to make coffee at 4:20am, about 10 minutes before i wake up. it has a clock and a program setting to do this.

however, the power went out. oh no!

so i woke up at 4:30am like i usually do and there was no coffee. the clock had reset and thus, no programming. i was distraught. i had to manually push on and wait 10 whole minutes for my coffee. my day was ruined.

so i went to target and got a simple switch on/off coffee maker. i plugged it into a smart outlet and set some google routines to automatically turn on at 420am.

so now if the power goes out and goes back on, iill still have delicious coffee in the morning
