Dr Anthony Fauci, who is part of the Biden Coronavirus Task Force is warning that while the United States may be seeing a "plateauing" of cases, the virus is MUTATING and that the several new virus strains including the UK dubbed B.1.1.7 by scientists is causing headaches for the Pfzier and Moderna Vaccines as it's LESS EFFECTIVE against fighting it but still provides some protection!!

He said the new strain is more transmissable and while not found to be more deadly, said it can cause a patient to be more sick and ultimately going to get more deaths in the coming months

The cause for concern is the diminution in the efficacy of the vaccines, specifically because of the South Africn mutant strain than the UK mutant strain.

The South African strain dubbed 501.V2 is having an effect on monoclonal antibodies used to treat COVID-19 and vaccine effectiveness is diminished but still somewhat effective

Asked whether people should still be bothered to take the vaccine, Fauci said it might fall from 95 to 80% effective and still better than the 0% protection

But the new strain is like 75 percent more effective at spreading from person to person. This isn't a minor speed bump, it needs to be addressed at some point if true.
