Been playing 6 a lot recently. Whats your favorite Hero? I like the addition of them to the game.

got it during the winter steam sale. Obyn is pretty great, pops lead, and its a homing attack. Powers up your magic monkeys, too.

I havent used monkey money for anything yet so I only have the 4 starting heros. Im sitting on like $6000 monkey money

I bought 6 and 5 at the same time for around $1 each a while back. Haven't actually played 6 yet.

Adora

She's the reason why I've beat some of the harder maps, tbh. Her first Skill lets her shoot all over the map and behind walls as well. Her second skill can be useful with a pro player, but not for me. Her last skill has saved me a few times.

I want to try out Etienne, but haven't bought it yet

I used to play BTD3 a lot in the computer lab at school. That game was a blast. Havent played any of the newer ones, am I missing out?

Yeah, there is a LOT of content now. All Towers have 15 upgrades now, each Map has like 10-15 ways to play on it, Heroes are new to this newest game [BTD6], Daily Challenges, and a few other Modes as well. Not to mention the upgrades you can unlock between games.

Played every single one. Obyn is pretty much the only hero I use regularly. Tried the other starter ones for a bit, but didn't really like them or their cost. Though now that I got the free dart monkey at the start and increased starting money might think about trying others.

Right now I'm knocking out some of the earlier challenges on Easy and Normal [Military only, for example] and I'm terrible at the ones where the bloons never stop coming. It's like I don't get the same amount of cash

The #1 tip I'd give to all new BTD6 players: 402 Ninja (that's 4 ranks in top path, 0 in middle, 2 in bottom) and 402 Alchemist can solo almost any map to round 60ish. A 025 Spike Factory plus a 402 Alchemist can solo anything up to round 98. Both of these fall apart a bit on maps with multiple entrances/exits (Muddy Puddles for example) but absolutely will work on anything with just one entrance/exit

Yeah, I can beat most maps on hard when it's just a basic game. It's the Alt Rounds and the apocalypse one that give me trouble. Alt Round because I don't know what's going to be coming, and like I said before, the apocalypse one because I can't keep up with the game never stopping between rounds.

Pretty much the only Towers I use are -

5/0/2 Bomb Shooter
2/0/5 Helicopter
0/0/5 Wizard
4/0/2 Ninja
4/0/2 Alchemist

Then I change it up a bit depending on the map. I'm also a big Banana Farm guy

I've never used any other besides benji, i'm too deep in the econ strat to care about what the others have to offer lol

Also the boomerang monkes with the 80 bounce monkey knowledge and 4/2/0 are ridiculous

A 0/2/4 or 0/2/5 sniper is really useful too on long maps or if it has a good straight path to shoot down and pops everything.
2/0/5 sub with alchemist and maybe a few backup 2/0/4 subs have a lot of power as well, can also put down a 4/0/2 sub in front of them for cheap damage and decamo.
Alchemist lately is also better as 4/2/0 as long as it only buffs 1 tower since the middle path now gives it longer uptime/reduced cooldown on the buffs.

I use it. I tend to go 0/2/4or5, but then I'll add a MOAB Sniper latter in a run when I have some extra cash I'm not doing anything with.

Sounds like a hassle tbh

But that's my point, this has made it gone away from that strat. In a lot of those modes you can't use the Banana Farm anymore. Military Only, Magic Only, Limited money to use, ect.

I'm trying to unlock every ability for every tower but my favourites are 0-2-5 sniper and x-x-5 wizard.

anyone know how to get to round 100 in the set-amount-of cash mode?

For flat maps or maps with good firing lanes for snipers I'll use two 402 snipers (one set to Strong and one set to First), a 250 Sniper (increases firing rate for all other snipers) and a 025 sniper (getting the 4th bottom path upgrade adds lead popping so you don't need to get any ranks in top path, and the shrapnel coming off bloons from this ridiculous rate of fire is extremely powerful). This sniper nest can't quite carry the entire game but is fairly cheap, has great popping power vs both blimps and bloon rushes, generates money over time, and has great CC vs blimps because of Maim Moab. Having two 402s set on different targeting settings ensures that the strongest blimp on the map gets stalled and whatever is in front gets stalled, which can buy you a lot of time

Personally I use Obyn specifically for early Lead/camo popping and the Wall Of Trees. Wall of Trees will save your ass late game on hard maps and Impoppable/Half Cash/CHIMPS mode.I don't actually use Obyn buffs that effectively lol. Most of the other heroes are either too expensive to place early enough to level them easily OR are simply not as good as towers. Like, Quincy is just objectively worse than a 025 Dart Monkey :/

If you're trying to go past round 100 Ezili is absolutely baller, tho. She's really strong in general, actually, but especially from rounds 90+.
