At one point in the pandemic, they were like the only state completely open. I wonder how much that had to do with it?

I have a realtor friend who is based in the Orlando area who told me how busy theyve been and homes are being sold at crazy high rates. And a quick google search shows they were the third most moved in state last year, according to Uhaul:

Hopefully. Seems to be younger people moving, but Florida man gonna Florida man.

Wonder how they're gonna feel when they realize there's fuck all to do in Orlando and the only relatively fun stuff is on I-Drive or paying an arm and a leg to go to a theme park.

Florida is probabaly the closest state to being normal still soci dont really blame most people. If not for its humidity I'd likely do the same.

The way my friend described it was he is seeing herds of younger people moving down there now versus older generations retiring down there. Or even 40 something year olds with young kids moving there to be closer to Disney (yes this is a real thing).

Yeah Orlando has a great nightlife, but is it a good place to live? Admittedly, Ive only been twice. I made the drive to Tampa when I went and I thought Tampa blew Orlando out the water.

That was my initial thinking. Even during the initial shutdowns, they were the last state to close businesses and the first state to open. Im sure that factored into this.
