This. Chris Wallace is like, the one guy at Fox News with integrity, as seen by him at least trying to enforce rules during Trump's first debate with Biden.

I'm just saying, Fox provides a safespace for these people who believe they had it right at an early age and get frustrated at the idea that they don't have it 100% right. So anytime someone in their safespace challenges what they already believe, they freak out.

I turn shit off if it's just going over stuff I already believe. You should constantly look for people who will challenge your viewpoints. Obviously, they have to be willing to challenge their own as well to be valuable.

Not paying attention at all doesn't make you smarter than those people. You have to actually play the game to compete. Or you can keep pretending if you did play the game you'd be top tier, but you just don't want to. That's definitely not a defense mechanism protecting you from discovering reality. It's just being strategically dumb. We probably allvdo ot to an extent tho. Believe we'd be better at something we'll never actually do and figure out the truth of.
