but there's too much that can go wrong here, like the 16 year old dying from her first birth or something

Thats pretty fucked up that you would want the last girl alive to be breeding stock for a dead species.

Even if she somehow shit out 100 kids, how would you reliably feed, care for and educate them to the point where they can survive in a world with 0 other support systems?

Wild animals or one bad injury and youre fucking donezo. Then there is the matter of the virus that wiped everyone out. Whos to say that the kids are immune?

If its just you and one chick remaining on earth then unless you are some beanpole manlet the law is basically whatever you say it is and no one can say otherwise. During an apocalypse humanity would pretty much revert back to survival of the fittest and might makes right.
