No known mechanical issues, extremely well maintained (came with all service records), 120k miles, no dings/dents, but some heavy scratches. Friend was selling it to a dealer for $1400 trade in, I joked that Ill buy it for that price; one thing led to another and we now have this car. We already have two other 2019 vehicles; we dont need this one.

Thoughts, CE?

If you can get a trusted mechanic to confirm it has no mechanical issues you could probably sell it for upwards of $10K

Nice find, you could probably flip for quite a bit more after a minor checkup.

Wow. Checked my local Craigslist and all the 2011s for sale in my area are between 5k and 8k.

Did your friend not want to try selling it privately to get a few extra thousand bucks?

Sometimes people are stupidly cheap. One friend had a 2012 Ford Focus only trouble was a water gasket leak and the belt had flayed a bit and knocked off the camshaft sensor, we offered to fix it and change timing belt and water pump for $1200.
He waited a few days then asked if we where willing to buy for the cost of the repairs, my coworker did and fixed the stuff and then sold the car for 5k and my friend ended up buying a 2014 Volvo V40 for 4k...

Like 1200 was too much to fix a car but buying another car for 4k was somehow cheaper...

I drive the 2014 version. When I went to buy a car a few years ago I knew I wanted a sunroof, a turbo, and bluetooth hookup. First car I found to meet all of that was the Fusion. I love it.

So I know he wasnt planning on buying a new car; he just spent about $1000 replacing the power steering two weeks ago, and got a new inspection sticker too.
