Back when Dark Souls was poppin' I tried really hard to get a twink :\

Started as a Wanderer and stayed at SL3 or whatever the starting soul level was the entire game. O&S was a complete pain but I eventually did it, then eventually got brick walled by 4 Kings; my damage output was just too low and I couldn't deal with multiple kings all trying to kill me

After 4 kings I could get join the Red Invader covenant and then using all my pimped out gear and mad skillz, gank lowbies looking for help with Bridge Demon

i helped a buddy with their sl11 and weapon level 5 through the four kings just like a week ago. if you're on PC and you finally want a hack at twinking lemme know.

i want to say, just above all else, disconnecting isn't a great idea. it'll just put the same invader back in your world when you come back. take the death. it gives you 15 minutes of not being invaded (and if it happens again it becomes like 26 minutes and it keeps going like that.)

and if you do it too many times in a timeframe your ass gets softbanned.

Me and 2 friends used to camp the cathedral of the deep bonfire with the dried fingers active in dark Souls 3. Two of us would hide on the sides of the room, and as soon as the invader came in that room it was gank city

The hate mail was glorious; fuck invaders, especially Aldrich faithfuls. Darkmoon for life

Yeah, I definitely agree that co op without forced PvP should be an option.

I remember in 3 I would use the dried finger or whatever that lets me summon more invaders then hide in really good spots to see if they could find me and also for them to duke it out with blue dudes. Red dudes trumped blues probably 70-80% of the time lol

But then again, Oolacile is a toxic place that I love.
Felt so bad invading alongside another and sneak attacking the other Red in the head with a Dark Bead.
Poor bastard never suspected.

Although I dont mind invasions where they actually want to come up and fight for real. Hiding amongst the enemies when you get low on health is bitchmade shit though

please understand that any flexing from invaders (and this is coming from a career invader) is stupid as hell because the whole design philosophy is to give invaders an advantage.

invading oolacile sucks. 55 is the best sl to invade at. 125 will put you in a community with like 30 people, don't make that mistake. i encounter that many people in two hours.

I am normally a dude that sticks to the more co-op side of things with souls like games and thus is pretty "eh" at pvp, but I have to admit.....doing that old monk boss fight was pretty fun, lol.

the game gives you a lot of breathing room to, like you can't be invaded more than once every 15 minutes normally. if you die to the invader.

the game is designed so invaders always have an advantage unless you get help.

I always thought the pvp was kinda ass.

I just started DS3 with a friend and we've only died to invaders so far. It's kinda annoying. These dudes with their fat dude armor coming in and using some gauntlets that bypass shields. We kill them about half the time but it just makes the beginning part of this game such a fucking drag.

And many other people would say that you just suck and need to git gud. And others would say to just get over it. And others would say to just play offline. What's your point?

Playing offline isn't really a solution if you want to play with a friend. Using a smurf to fuck with new players in the first areas of the game is really dumb shit imo. We got invaded by a dude that had a shit ton of estus flasks while we had the minimum available, and he had those gauntlets that bypassed shields. It's wack.

It doesn't make the game bad but it is making these early parts completely unenjoyable. I just know next time From releases an online game I'm buying it day 1 so I don't have to deal with bullshit like this.
