Im inclined to agree with your OP, some of those rhythms and riffs are some of the best guitar work imo. Theres nothing that white sounds like a Mustaine fueled riff. Theyre one of the few bands that have 5 albums in a row where I dont actually skip any song lol
Megadeth was one of the reasons I picked up playing guitar and to me are equally as important as something like that Jimi or Van Halen, but for the world of rhythm Lucretia has one of my favorite solos of all time ... Copied to Clipboard!

Rust In Peace is a masterpiece for sure, but I see too many people praise only Dave Mustaine for it. Honestly that album was almost more Marty Friedman than Dave Mustaine. Mustaine had very little micromanagement on Friedman's parts and even shook his hand when he heard what Friedman came up with for the first time.

It really is one of the metal albums ever. The music is out of this world.
