Just do it. It's awesome. If you like Yu Yu Hakusho or Hunter X Hunter this manga is for you. Also, the anime is free to watch on Crunchyroll.

Why would I like it if I like Hunter X Hunter?

I'm actually a few chapters in. The show had an interesting start that got me interested. Sadly like 6 episodes in it feels like they dropped all of the horror elements and starting to feel like typical shonen.

Think Bleach but the powers are like Nen or Stands.

For example, one character can trace an imaginary line along their target, if he hits the line in a 7:3 proportion he deals a critical hit and decimates the target.

Well I am caught up with the manga, and only like 4 eps in the anime so it's hard to compare. The anime is really pretty though. Honestly I would just go with whatever your preference is, however the manga is way ahead so there is a lot more content to read.

Because it's very Togashi inspired. The author himself is a huge fan. Also it's power system is very nen-like in the sense that it is well thought out, and even a little complicated at points. It has good characters, it's well written, no friendship power up stuff, there are actual lasting consequences for actions etc.

I don't think I am great at explaining it all I can say is as a huge HXH fan this finally satisfied me while we wait for hiatus to be over.

Ironically I love Geto lol we shall be enemies.

Jokes aside, Gojou is awesome too. Mahito grew on me quite a bit as I kept reading. I love Nobara too, her powers are super cool!

That sounds interesting, I'm convinced. Hunter X Hunter is my favorite anime/manga. One of the main things I like about is how intricate the nen system and techniques are.

Oh boy, then you should give this a chance! It's a complex and well thought out power system for sure. Like HxH you won't get the in-depth explanations for how everything works right away, but you will as things move along.

Idk if it's a spoiler or not but some of the characters intentionally explain how their technique works to the enemy as them knowing actually can give the user an advantage, and sometimes they will even lie about how their ability works which I think is something more manga should do lol
