Just finished S03E01, it's been a ride for sure

@Parappa09 I know you've posted about this show a lot, I'm really enjoying it so far

It looks so gross with the animation and I can't imagine the humor is based on anything but cringe. Is it worth getting into if I hate cringe, already get poop jokes and don't care about reliving the traumas of my tweens as a catharsis for my thirties?

Probably not. It can be cringey and really, really dumb, and it's definitely fundamentally crude and downright disgusting at times. For example, I hate Coach Steve and just about every gag they do with him, but I'll also smile whenever Maury breaks out his literal bag of dicks. But it's also kind of... charming? There's a certain coming of age element to it, and I'm a sucker for that stuff. If it were just poop, dick and tit jokes I feel like I wouldn't be nearly as interested in seeing how the characters develop. (Literally, as in going through puberty, get it, haha! Oh man, so deep.)

Also, nice jab with the catharsis comment. You're saucy this morning.

It was good the first 2 seasons where they pretty much wrote in most of their embarrasments from their youth but I stopped at s3 when it started to just be for chock value.

I kinda agree with some of the latter, but your first statement is pretty strong. This is literally the worst show you've ever seen? Ever? Like, ever ever? You can't think of anything on TV or streaming that's worse than this?

the first two seasons are incredible. the way they joke about growing pains of puberty is quite accurate for me. and you enjoy it even more in hindsight

the third season onwards they start to go more gross. i thought the third season was okay but the fourth was a lil too much

probably not. i think youll like some of their segments and jokes, but full on episodes might be too much cringe and reliving awkward teenage horror stories lol

I can't really tell who this show is for. I can't really see any teen watching the show even un-ironically and as an adult watching it I feel very uneasy (like when you visit your in-laws and they pull out a VHS of your SO and her siblings playing nude in the living room at age 8, THAT kind of uneasy).

And then there's the dead eye animation that makes Bob's Burgers look like a masterpiece of animation...There really isn't anything redeemable about the show.
