Fusion depends on the monster type and the average attack of the mons I think? Either way, knowing what it does on a basic level lets you build pretty sick mons at a low cost. I think as a kid I got stuck at Pegasus for the longest time til I learned what the field spells do.

It's a fun ass game though. Definitely had a lot of potential, and a competent dev team would do something pretty interesting with it in the modern days I think.

I always just fused into Pumpkin King and left him sitting around in defense mode to let his stats build up until he was unbeatable lol

I forgot what the fusion was, but one of the starter decks had it. I think what decks you could pick depended on your name too. Game was weird

Also the way you got cards was dumb. Just a slot machine at the end of the duel and only the cards you actually destroyed during the duel. Some shit like Blue Eyes required lining up 3 of the same thing on the slot machine too smh.
