Im in the market for a new phone, so I stopped by a best buy to compare the phone sizes.

Online, it said the 12 pro max has the same dimensions as my phone, the 6s Plus, but the 12 obviously has a bigger screen with having no bezel. I assumed it would be good because of those dimensions, but it felt bigger than my phone which is in an otterbox symmetry case. The stores was just the phone, so Im assuming the 12 will feel even bigger with a case.

I can use the 6s plus with one hand if I have to, but Im thinking Ill have a hard time doing that with the 12 pro max.

Does anyone have the phone, and what do
you think of the size? Do you get used to it? Can anyone use it with one hand?

The 6s plus still had a physical button that clicked. If you tap it twice without clicking it, it brings the top half of the screen down into reach of my hand when using it one-handed. Is there a way to do that with the 12? I was able to figure out how to do everything else that I could think of that requires the button on the 6s plus.

Im not thrilled (I got the 6s plus with the old fashioned contract where you paid $200 and owned the phone) but not worried about the price since I plan on keeping it 5 or 6 years like I have the 6s.

1 phone every 6 years is odd. 2027 will have 40K and four foldable screens!

Seriously though I know Xs from 2017 that are barely bumping by

I upgraded from an XS Max to a 12 Pro Max and it's a little too big for me, but I love it. The battery life is incomprehensibly good, the photo/video quality is amazing, everything runs super-smooth, and the default capacity is 128GB which is great if you have a lot of downloaded media or apps.

As far as ergonomics, it has flat edges similar to the iPhone 4/5. It slips less and you have a better grip on it, but it might not be as comfy as the curved edges on other iPhones. Reachability still exists, but you have to swipe down on the bottom bar to activate it. I have pretty small hands and I end up just using it with two hands, comfortable.

You can bring the screen down on the button-less iphones by swiping down on the grey bar at the bottom.

lol, I didnt plan on it, but by the time my two years were up, leasing/paying full price replaced the old contract system, so it didnt seem worth it when my phone still did everything I needed it to. Plus I liked having a headphone jack. It still does most stuff, but its started to show its ageespecially the battery. The new ones get 5G, so I should be set for a while.

Thanks, I had to turn it on in the demo phones settings, but I got it.
