In the last episode of Roseanne it was revealed that ~~Dan died during his heart attack and the last season or two (actually the whole series) was Roseanne writing her book.~~ That was pretty much retconned in the reboot. They alluded to it I believe with some kind of vague reference, but overall it wasn't explicitly explained. More of a "we are retconning this, who the fuck cares" kinda thing.
