Makes limit breaks easy to achieve regardless of health, makes them massively more powerful in some cases, and also cures curse.

Depends on context. Haste is normally broken as fuck, but in LLG context, vanish/image is even more broken as well as stuff like FFV Dragon's Kiss (give target Dragon and Heavy types, so party members are immune to lot of really nasty stuff while enemies take 8x damage from certain farmable weapons) or the stuff that literally just lets you boost levels (set enemy levels to 255 so level 5 death kills them, which works on literally everything in the game that isn't undead, or make yourself do the same damage at level 1 real level as you would as if you leveled to 255). Gau has a bunch of bullshit statuses he can inflict in FFVI that don't have any sort of defense or immunity against them and basically work as instant kills or better (Charm).

The strategy I use for level 1 solo Lenna vs final bosses in FFV makes liberal use of Haste, Image, self-granted status immunities, level boosting, and !Hide if you consider that a status.

It's Haste. It buffs everything. It's the Pot of Greed of FF, it is always useful. Aura is pretty good too.

Eh. I disagree. It doesn't really do anything you can't already get by just running around with low HP. Don't have to waste time casting it. You just start up a fight and instantly degenerator and move on to the next one.

Haste is still useful regardless. Like, take Meteorwing for example since FF8 is the only game with Aura.

Once you use Angel Wing you're done, Aura has no further effect but Haste does and will dramatically improve the damage and since you only need to use it once it's easy to just use it while at low health.

I believe this does the most damage in the game unless you built Squall to guarantee Lionheart.

I think the only time Haste is NOT useful is if you have some kind of gradual status effect. Like Doom in FF9 which has a countdown timer of 10. If you have haste, that timer becomes 3 seconds (TenNineEightSevenSix--). You either cure it immediately, or they're dead before anything happens. Gradual petrify another example.

Barrier and MBarrier/Protect and Shell, Aura in FF8, all of these with haste on only last about 15-20 seconds each.

I thought as long as you only upgrade to Leonhart, with Aura it cannot proc any other finisher and you get it all the time?

And yeah, Duel with a 7 second counter basically got me 240k damage.

Feels like the invincibility buff in FF8 is being glossed over. Rinoa's invincible moon or using a holy war (which you essentially have unlimited of if you've done the card quest) makes your party untouchable. Protect and shell are nothing compared to literally taking 0 damage from everything.

Still, most of the game it's not needed. Keeping your party low hp to spam limit breaks works for the majority of the game, and it's not till end game bosses that you need to use auras and invincible, and even then it's really just ultima and omega weapons that need everything.

I'm shocked at these results to some of these. FFT's story isn't good, lol. FF7 is easily the best story.
Also berserkers weren't bad in FF5!

I'm not 100% sure about that because I did exactly this with Angelo / Invincible Moon. I didn't do it with Squall though so I am not sure if he works different.
