There's too much space in the middle. I know it's the same width, but the new letters are so limp compared to the old ones that it doesn't look weighted right. The colors invoke plastic, not metal and a GenZ or an elder could confuse the 'g' for a '9.'

Usually the vehicle badging is brand-based, like Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick, etc. You'll probably find a little "GM" logo on things like VIN plates, owners manuals or stamping on the window glass, as well as on OEM replacement part boxes, but that's about it.
