No, not really.
For the vast majority of people, it's an entirely different approach to test questions from what they've experienced. --- Party leader, passive-aggressive doormat, pasta eater extraordinaire! ... Copied to Clipboard!

So, for the record, shooting for a 165 from the outset, without studying, is not a good way to approach it.
Because I got a 166 as my second actual score. --- Party leader, passive-aggressive doormat, pasta eater extraordinaire! ... Copied to Clipboard!

You'll be fine. It's an easy test to study for. The study aids give you all sorts of diagrams you can draw to sort out the logic puzzles.
It also has absolutely nothing to do with law school or being a lawyer lol. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

I don't say that as discouragement, but chances are your first practice test is not going to be good. The LSAT is likely different from what you've done before test-taking-wise, and if you are going the selfstudy route like I did, it's going to be an at times frustrating trek. It takes repetition to start seeing the patterns and tip-offs in questions.
Frankly, I don't think it's even remotely reflective of the expectations in law school. I knew three people who scored in the 170s, and they ended up a full quartile below me in our first year and third year ranks. --- Party leader, passive-aggressive doormat, pasta eater extraordinaire! ... I'd still have to take 2 years of undergrad classes anyway to fix my gpa, that will probably be more work than the test --- "Why is ontology so expensive?" - JH [Is this live?][Joyless planet...] ...
