In your opinion, in a zombie apocalypse and a non-infected human is killed with a shot in the head, should they still turn into a zombie?

Many zombie films and tv shows have this problem...and they never seem to adhere to their own rules.

What's the same with both is that anytime you get bit by the zombie, anywhere, you turn into a zombie because of the infection.

What's different however is, if a non-infected human is shot in the head, do they still come back as a zombie or turn into the undead?

In many George A. Romero movies like night of the living dead and dawn of the dead, a straight headshot whether human or zombie, is dead no matter what...so a human would not re-animate.

But in the Walking Dead where presumably everyone is infected, you turn into a zombie even if you die without getting bitten or get shot in the head...which ironically, a headshot is the only true way to kill a zombie

So in your opinion, should a non infected human who gets a headshot still turn into a flesh eating zombie or should they stay dead?

never understood that about TWD. if everyone's infected already, why does a bite make it happen immediately? i guess you could argue it gets triggered early by bacteria in bodily fluids, but it all seems so arbitrary

iirc a bite in TWD more or less decimates your immune system to the point that you'll quickly get fatally ill

Especially with the whole "these dudes are literally rotting necrotic tissue" added onto it.

The walking dead is a outlier in that regard. And pretty terrible as far as most zombies fractions go.

No if a human dies before being infected by whatever insert plot device infection/virus occurs...
Said person will simply remain dead, despite in many movies the "dead" where one of the first to become reanimated thus fully capable of spreading the zombie disease to other humans

Theres not a single case in the Walking Dead or any Romero zombie films where someone is shot in the head and comes back to life. Why are you making a thread saying you dont understand something that has never happened?
