Well I tell a lie, it was not being depressed by the Tri-attack of Lockdown, America and Brexit.

But the fact it was on the agenda was fucking depressing. I said as little as possible just because I felt like everyone went dead whenever I spoke. I mean Lockdown and Brexit consequences effect stuff we do, Trump's coup attempt was just "Random Depressing Shit"

I'm stunned just how many people here have been hurt by what happened yesterday. They seem more bothered by it than Republicans do.

The conference call makes perfect sense. Mental health is important, doubly so in a lockdown during a pandemic in a time of uncertainty.

It's just the US riot being considered on par with a Lockdown and Brexit to the extent that's considered part of a suicide risk is not what I was expecting.

Im Canadian and this is stressing me out reading and hearing about everything from yesterday. Like between that and covid i just need to completely turn off all forms of news and social media and relish in the obliviousness for one day.

It's hard not to be depressed, this is america, there's proud violent terrorists here and they're not going away and they're in our law enforcement and government bodies and their opposition either doesn't want to hold them accountable or are so netured that even when they do want to they can't. I think the realization that these people will continue to grow and flourish under Biden's administration is the most depressing thing about this, think about it, they first hit the scene because a black man became president, then were given a foothold by a racist, incompetent conman that only gets as far as he does because everyone around him shields him from the consequences.

I had that one on one call with my boss back in July or August since I'm a black dude living on my own <20 miles from the White House. My boss is also black. One part of that call was me talking about wearing my work lanyard and badge while driving (even though it's against the rules) just in case some racist dickhead cop pulled me over and maybe considered that I was a federal employee before blasting me for having a dark wallet or phone in a black case in my cupholder. And he agreed that it was probably a good idea.

I have a feeling another one on one call scheduled for next week with a different superior might be about the same thing >_>

Oh man, after hearing about that poor black lady who got harassed and beaten up by Trump supporters you are making the right choice, the cops did nothing to save her, two good civilians pulled her from the crowd while the cops just sat there and watched.
