I want dark roast and I want it with milk and sometimes even sugar.

I want it to taste like 2am at a diner. I want it in a plain white cup with some bacon and eggs. I want it to be hot.

If it has fruity citrus notes and comes in a clear glass and the server tells me it's at a tepid temperature because that's the optimal serving temperature, I DON'T WANT IT

All coffee tastes the same to me so I kinda get what you are saying. Fancy coffee is wasted on me. I just buy whatever is cheapest

Go to a craft coffee cafe place and order one of their standard pours (i.e. choose one off the menu and not "cappucino" or "latte" or whatever) and chances are the barista or till person will reel off a script about this just so you don't complain about your lukewarm coffee
