Recently bought the Origins collection on PSN and the remastered collection...Already had 6 so i have 0-6....My first time playing the series...Do i play them in release order or should i start with 0, given that its a prequel?

0 is a good place to start, but it's such a good game on its own it can make kiwami feel like a step down

Yes definitely start with 0 but as others have said be prepared for dips in quality, a bit from 0 to Kiwami 1 then a massive dip from Kiwami 2 to the remaster of 3 which imo is the low point of the series (both in the narrative and gameplay, plus you go from the shiny new dragon engine back to whatever they were using back in 2009) . All the games are good though

Because of storyline reasons, Kiwami 1 felt really depressing and sad, since a lot of shit happens to Kiryu, especially with him coming out of prison and the whole thing with Nishiki. Compared to 0, Kiryu felt like a broken man. It was nice to have Majima there for him, training him up again. A real bro.

Edit: Also with Japans bubble economy from the 80's which had burst, the world felt like a good reflection of the times. It felt so much different from the 80's. Kamurucho felt like it went through a huge transition.
