So I recently got an air fryer, and it constantly sets off my fire alarms in my kitchen, and the adjacent rooms. I have to have the back door and window open to avoid this.
but the weird thing is there is no smoke. No smoke, or burning odor, and everything comes out good. But my fire alarms are detecting something thats setting them off? I dont get it.

is it a fire detector that detects co gas?

because that could be what it's detecting, though i'm unsure why it would be detecting that from an air fryer. it shouldn't be burning anything to give off carbon monoxide. only thing i can think of is that you left something in it, or on it, that wasn't meant to be left on. like plastic film or something and it's not being nice.

oh, yeah, i suppose it could be set too hot for the oil, so it's burning

what oil are you using and what temperature do you have set

Yeah it is, but it also has a voice that says fire or carbon monoxide warning. I suppose it could be faulty and just saying fire when it means CO.

Ive made sure theres plenty of space around it and theres nothing on/in it.
I cant figure out if the fryer is faulty or the alarm.
I checked the alarms and theyre all new. 10 year life expectancy and they're 1 year old.

Ive actually only cooked frozen foods in it before. Bone less wings twice, and taquitos once. Its still new to me so I havent really gotten into it (plus the alarms have deterred me). I set it to 400 because thats what the packaging suggested.
