I had an old set of tower speakers with a turntable in top, radio tuner, and dual cassette deck. So technically yes. I didn't own any records and mostly listened to CDs on a walkman with some stand alone speakers plugged into it.

There was always a record player in the house when I was growing up and my parents had a decent sized collection. So I was already quite familiar with vinyl when I started buying my own records in my teens.

My grandma had one she brought with her when she came visit us in 2004 (she lived in a far state)

Yep, had a pretty neat collection of records too before I gave them all away. Stopped using it as I grew older then thought one day that this all was a huge waste of time, space, and money.
