What makes it so hypocritical is that

1. there is a stay-at-home in effect for another week
2. they are divying the teachers into groups - this is just pre-kindergarten and special ed

The union says it will provide legal help for those teachers who asked for accommodation and did not get it.

Is it safe to think Christmas gathering cases have already been reported? Its been over two weeks. My thinking is once we get past this week cases maybe start coming down. At least I'm hopeful for that

My work just called me. Asked me to do a move today because one guy refused it. Active covid outbreak in a senior facility. They're willing to let us do the move and said the part of the facility that we would be moving the person out of has no active cases. Would have been a 10+ hour day (with 70% of that time just relaxing in the truck) in a period where hours are very difficult to get. I just can't risk my parents. I know I only just got out of my covid isolation a week ago but I'm still worried about the possibility of reinfection.

unfortunately not that quickly. unless positive trials happen to johnson and johnson vaccine and maybe one other 1 (astra-zeneca).
still have a long time after that. may see a turnaround for the better late fall.
