With COVID we havent made any plans this year, just getting some Chinese food and maybe watch the new Wonder Woman.
But have you ever had a big blow out New Years Eve party like in the movies? In my experience, its always been too busy, too expensive with cover charges and too hard to get anywhere to really enjoy it. ... Copied to Clipboard!

No,all the ones I went to were at people's houses and it got boring fast, partying is never as fun as it looks in movies/tv well maybe it is if you have the right kind of friends and are more into parties, but tbh I didn't really enjoy them much --- Drink up me hearties, yo ho ... Every year. Always have my closest family over and make a bunch of food, shoot fireworks, play games etc

You know I'm big into most holidays, but I really just don't care about NYE. I never have. Had some great times, but its just one holiday I never care to celebrate. Its nice this year we don't really have to worry about doing anything

I enjoyed quite a bit of them in the moment. Some of the best nights of my life were NYE celebrations, but having a good time on NYE usually meant an equally bad day after and as I've gotten further into sobriety, I recognize that the fun usually wasn't worth the consequences. Last year was my first chill, voluntarily sober NYE and it was really enjoyable. It might not have reached the heights of those crazy drunken times but it also didn't leave me in the same depths when it was all over.
