The only thing that I'd say is really worth it is the Job Set, which adds two new classes for combat. Even then, it isn't vital. The rest of the stuff is either cosmetic, stat-boosts, or adding certain classic characters to the Management Mode minigame to make it easier. The Hero Edition (Job Set & Management Set) is only $4 more than the base game right now so I'd go for that one.
