I have a friend who gets mad if you're at a distance and you use your arms/body to indicate for him to come over. "I'm not a dog, use your words"

I've also heard people who say they hate being whistled at, in order to get their attention, for the same reason "I'm not a dog"

Does non-verbal communication bother you?

also i'm specifically talking in person-to-person non-verbal communication, not texts or other forms of long-distance communication
