I have 3 years restaurant experience that is non transferrable to... anything else, but I feel like that at least shows I can do some decent work, at least enough to regularly get interviews in office positions. I guess my meme degree should also add some value, at least that would have been awesome

How many years should a person work before being qualified to do, or at least try a job in another sector? Can I be a receptionist after 5 years of working in kitchens?

i dunno about other businesses but the receptionists at my work organize meetings and events, handle calls for the whole company + customers walking in, organise stationary + other shit, the mail, probably other stuff i dunno

i dont think you need qualifications or experience per se but i dont think kitchens experience will help much

I mean I had order sheets to fill for parties and would have to make all the desserts for them and schedule it around the dinner service. I know it's only one demonstrated ability...
