Had a ingrown nail during November, and got the side remove during the week of Thanksgiving from a podiatrist.

Toe wasn't healing right and bottom corner was still inflamed after 5 weeks. Original podiatrist kept saying it was healing normal from the emailed photos I sent her, and that inflammation takes awhile to go away. Since she went on vacation during this week, I gave up on her. I called the poditatrist department and asked for a different podiatrist for a second opinion. New podiatrist said the same thing about foot wound healing takes a while to heal, but he said he could do the procedure again. I said yes, and he cut a little more of the toenail, and found a 3cm piece the original podiatrist missed in the bottom corner of the toenail. He said it was a good thing you came since it was probably not gonna heal right if it was still in there. Now I'm in pain again, and it probably will be another month before it heals completely. Should I make a complaint to the hospital I got this done at?

PS, the new podiatrist was freaking rough compared to the first one. I have high pain tolerance, but I legit screamed during the shot to the toe.

I've had about 6-8 ingrown toenails removed in my life. Between the two big toes that is. Last one on each they just killed the nail bed so it wouldn't happen again.
