Went for a short run. Just a start. Will go again tomorrow morning. Later in the day I will make a daily schedule for myself (starting with small steps). In an hour or so I will apply to some volunteer positions.

I'll gradually be phasing in more changes as time goes on.

I just need something to hold myself accountable... like a reward system or something... ahh

Thanks for the tip. Actually when I got back I went to smoke and it smelled and tasted terrible after the run. Maybe it will help me quit.

Oof what helped me quit was imagining how raw and new my lungs were after a run and how dirty it would be to pump those raw ass lungs with smoking

thats like taking double damage bro, no smoking for at least 23 hours

Thing is, I like smoking a lot. I dont really want to quit. But it gets in the way of a bunch of things so I might as well.

i been struggling with the greens and it has a mental hold of me, and has hindered my progression in life.

got ring fit adventure couple days ago and i plan on using that for workouts at home. stupid usps lost my weights i ordered

Cigarettes. I can not smoke weed for a whole day if I need to, but I basically need a cigarettes at least every 2 hours. So studying in a library and etc is very hard

oof, yeah, those can be hard to kick. for the hundreds of cigs i smoked throughout my life, i am relieved i never became addicted. just wasn't something i enjoyed enough to constantly do.

I was in the same boat bruh, running was the only time I spent actual hours saying alright I wont smoke - I cant smoke or that tarll get stuck even deeper if my lungs are feeling raw

I switched over to vaping and got to 0mg - you can definitely make progress imo should all that fail.. its a trap, but honestly if you enjoy smoking that much you might as well enjoy it than worrying about how you smell, how it affects your lungs, whether or not youll get mouth or lung cancer

I dont think its completely harmless, but Im willing to bet its 70% better >_>

Immediate side effects of switching:

  • My heart wasnt feeling like ass (this was the main reason for me to quit - it was the nicotine because at 0mg my heart doesnt act up)
  • I could taste and actually smell my food again!
  • My lungs felt like they could finally expand by a good 20%
  • I didnt smell like ass - this was a big thing for me (though I still appreciate the smell of someone else smoking)
  • The amount of money I have saved by switching over was so incredibly stupid that I regret having spent all that ****ing cash on these stupid things


Just some stuff to think about as a former/fellow smoker.. the times I do enjoy a cigarette now is exclusively tied to drinking (cause yknow, the drink makes it so fucking good) but this summer I found I was reaching for my device since the hit of a cigarette just felt weak sauce
