Came out for iOS apparently and am wondering if I should get it and play it. I sincerely enjoyed KOTOR 1, but never tried the sequel because I heard the game was unfinished and there were lots of things missing.

Not sure how it is without mods tbh
But I did get about 20 hours easily and wasn't even done with half the game on PC

It's the most philosophical Star Wars game I've played.

Amazing game and the fact that Obsidian wasn't allowed to finish it is nothing short of criminal

The fact that they actually address the reality that the Jedi's dogmatism breeds evil like the Sith is really quite something.

It's fantastic and you should definitely play it. I've no idea what it's like on mobile though, but you 100% want the restored content mod to go with it.

KOTOR 1 is 10/10 and KOTOR 2 is a 5/10 game to me

but I've only played the vanilla version. I was really disappointed

Absolutely.

Its a slow slog to start. Peragus is brutal if you don't love the gameplay outright(i do, so Peragus has never been a chore for me)

The game is decidedly more slower paced than the first game overall. A lot more dialogue, in general and in companion talking. The game has its actiony moments but generally speaking doesn't have quite the big set piece moments like the first game does.

If you persevere through though and do your due diligence of talking to your companions and earning their respect, you should see why a lot of people love the game.

This reminds me that I first played the game in March of 2005 and now I feel old...

Gotcha. I am about 45 minutes into the game and still on the mining place. I guess this game is like KOTOR1, where the game doesnt get interesting until Bastilla shows up and doesnt get really fun until you become a Jedi.

I am noticing that too. I freaking HATE the controls where you will constantly run until you tap again (auto run is on, and I cant find a setting to turn it off). Also, the dialog boxes and all that show keyboard shortcuts when its obvious I dont have a keyboard.

is the the restoration mod absolutely critical? Im thinking I want to revert back to standard before I go in too far with this save. I think I read somewhere that the save files are incompatible with each other...

It turns it from an incomplete game to a mostly complete one. You can play without it, but you are missing out on the full intended experience.
