the prisoners behind bars aren't exactly hidden, but in case you didn't know, they're ghosts, the level's full of headstones and crucifixes, and there are actually electric chairs tucked away. somebody on the dev team actually designed and modeled electric chairs to stick in the level for no reason other than to let the player know the death sentence does indeed exist in the Sonic universe, and they killed people there

one of the best Sonic songs, and the screaming sample and general odd, menacing composition suits the idea behind the level

Sonic's Sky Deck takes place entirely on the Egg Carrier's left wing. You start out in the undercarriage, go to the tip, get on top, and come back. The end section that falls off during the level is visible in the Egg Carrier crashing FMV.

i have that song (red mountain interior) on my phone, actually. people say sonic songs are cringe, but jun senoue is a master of instrumentals
