I can only imagine how frustrating it must've been to have gotten up to go the bathroom during an episode of Gunsmoke or The Rifleman only to return and find that episode's bad guy had been shot.

I always taped the shows that I liked. I still have some of them, wish I taped the commercials too though for nostalgia reasons.

I remember first hearing the line "What's a rerun?" from Back to the Future, and was dumbfounded at the fact that you could never see an episode ever again after the broadcast. In hindsight, it makes sense due to the limitations of media.
