Or did Activision hike it back up when it released the "game of the year" edition that adds no content over the original release of the game? Because it's still priced as if brand new there. Well, not this second, it's on sale, but the listed non-sales price is as if it was just released yesterday. Was browsing through the sales list and I noticed this. Seemed weird to me.

Outside of things like these seasonal sales, the game is still full price on all platforms.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is the value of GameStop. It's $30 there and it's not going back up anytime soon.

Without knowing anything about American money, I feel you probably don't need gamestop specifically for that.

Also, you're preaching to the anti-digital only choir here.

Eh, these days I prefer eBay to game stop. It's $32.29 for the first new listing for Sekiro, and I've never gotten a new game from eBay that wasn't in perfect condition and sealed. Driving my ass to game stop will get me a new copy that isn't sealed.

And used it's pretty much the same story. But this has more to do with caring about case condition/CIB.

I'M NOT, I WAS JUST SKIRMING THE SALE FOR SOME CHEAP OFFERS.

I've had enough of your disingenuous assertions!

You have to be very careful with this sale in particular. You will notice some games are still full price while some games are on sale. It's a very tricky sale.

Project cars 2 for $60? What the f***.

You will find plenty of full-price games in this supposed "sale". I did not know what they were thinking.

As an aside, I think we're going to see less aggressive discount pricing in the next gen. A while back I heard some rumblings about it... but mostly it's just a feeling I have (and seem to be observing these past couple years). Especially with Nintendo's success with very small slow/minor discounts on their games.

I imagine the discount sizes will depend on the ratio of physical to digital only PS5s sold about 6 months in after supply stops being a limiting factor.
