Back in the late 2000s, some local stores had both the DS and a few unsold Game Boy Micros for about the same price.
I got the DS (lite), played it a lot. It has a huge library and is one of my favorite portables of all time. But the thing is, every single model of the DS is waaaay more common than a GBM (to put it mildly). So, it would've been cool to get this rare variant and the DS afterwards. Oh well... ... Every used Micro is beat to shit, and it's nigh-impossible to find faceplates that haven't been walked on or something. ... Copied to Clipboard!

I lost my micro. I (assume) it fell out of my pocket while seating somewhere. They were cool I guess.

This is like regretting not getting a PSP Go (the one that's all digital) . It's not that much better hardware wise and the advantages the DS posed are too numerous to name. Playing gba games with DS's amazing backlight was just... there are no words to describe that joy 15 years ago.

Micro was great for stealth workplace restroom gaming, with it's palmable size and quiet buttons.
