It was a cool console to have. Definitely ahead of the curve when it comes to WRPG's which became really popular the following generation.

Xbox was my least favorite console that gen, but despite that, I still accepted that it was astonishingly powerful compared to everything else then.

Yeah, the Xbox was a milestone because it started the trend of making consoles more like PCs. There was so much you could do with a hacked Xbox. It even helped jumpstart the concept of a home theater PC, with the XBMC (Xbox Media Center) program having originated as a homebrew program before jumping to PCs proper.
